frequency of 50\/60 Hz and a maximum\u00a0 installation height of 1000m above M.S.L.. The ambient temperature and the place of installation have a particular influence on the full nominal load.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Core material<\/strong><br \/>\nThe core\u00a0 material\u00a0 is\u00a0 cold-rolled\u00a0 magnetic\u00a0 sheet\u00a0 steel\u00a0 with preferred orientation. Further materials are selected to suit the defined thermal class. The preferred thermal class is 150\u00b0C.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Production<\/strong><br \/>\nOur production complies with applicable VDE\/EN regulations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Impregnation and encapsulation<\/strong><br \/>\nGenerally, the transformers are vacuum impregnated in artificial resin or encapsulated in cast resin.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Protection IP 00<\/strong><br \/>\nTransformers are generally supplied in open form, in accordance with protection IP 00. The customer may of course choose an alternative degree of protection.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Output data<\/strong><br \/>\nThe output\u00a0 data\u00a0 refers\u00a0 to\u00a0 the\u00a0 nominal\u00a0 capacity\u00a0 in\u00a0 VA,\u00a0 i.e.\u00a0 the\u00a0 output\u00a0 available\u00a0 on\u00a0 the\u00a0 secondary\u00a0 side in continuous\u00a0 operation. If the transformer has more than one output winding, the total nominal output is the sum of the individual nominal capacities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Standard design<\/strong><br \/>\nIn the standard design, the\u00a0 transformer\u00a0 has\u00a0 a\u00a0 primary\u00a0 and a\u00a0 secondary\u00a0 winding with freely selectable voltages (e.g. 230V, 400V). It is recommended that on the primary side +-5% taps are provided in order to compensate for fluctuating mains voltages. Please specify the required voltage range when ordering.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Separate winding<\/strong><br \/>\nIn the case of transformers\u00a0 with\u00a0 separate windings,\u00a0\u00a0 there is\u00a0 no electrically conductive connection between the primary and secondary windings. They are indirectly coupled. On\u00a0 request, a protective foil may be provided between the primary and the secondary winding.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Autotransformers<\/strong><br \/>\nAutotransformers have directly coupled primary and secondary windings. By careful determination of the output in relation to the size, enormous savings are achievable with respect to the quantities of core material and copper. The savings are directly related to the difference between input and output voltage, i.e. the smaller the difference the higher the savings. There is a difference between output per type and throughput rating.
